    Art, Access, and Connection at the Tampa Museum of Art
    Join FRID and the Tampa Museum of Art for a unique, interpreted docent-led tour during Art on the Spectrum — a special morning designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities, developmental differences, and their families to explore the galleries in a calm, welcoming environment.

    ASL interpreted, docent-led tour of art exhibits

    Limited Capacity

    Please park by 10:00am and be in the museum lobby by 10:15am for a brief orientation. 

    The tour begins promptly at 10:30am and lasts about 1 hour.


    After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore the galleries, stop by the gift shop, or stroll the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk just outside.

    Pre-registration is requested to ensure adequate interpreting services. Walk-ins will be accommodated only as space allows.

    This interactive workshop introduces interpreters to the Demand-Control Schema (DC/S) framework (Dean & Pollard, 2012) as a tool for analyzing and navigating the complexities of interpreting work. Through guided discussion and real-world examples, participants will explore how to identify demands, apply effective controls, and use the DC/S framework to support ethical decision-making. 

    This workshop is open for both members and non-members to attend.

    Non-FRID Member (needing CEUs): $35

    Non-FRID Member (No CEUs): $25
