Description
Have you ever been at an assignment and realized that you are not actually sure what the Deaf person you are interpreting for does for a living? “Wait...What’s Your Job?” workshops are for you!
Meet Sonia Garcia-DeNight, an early language acquisition coordinator and early interventionist, who will explain her hands on work with Deaf children and families. From early language development to key milestones, communication approaches, and simple strategies for adults interacting with Deaf infants and children, you will leave this workshop feeling confident that you have the lingo to interpret effectively for an early childhood specialist without asking "Wait . . . What's your job?"
Cancelation Policy
If FRID, the presenters, or unforeseen circumstances (including acts of God) cause the workshop to be canceled, participants will receive a credit toward a future FRID event.
Refunds will not be issued for individual cancelations. However, if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person.
